Etro 2010 Spring Collection

My favorite designer for men clothing is Etro. I just love the fact
that the patterns, designs and fabrics have no boundaries but still
remain in sync.

Chasing Happiness From Life Lessons

chasing the pursuit of happiness. amazingly i find inspiration in myself and i find more inspiration when others don’t Believe in me. it’s crazy but i get gassed up when people have doubt in me. i gain motivation when people act fake, get encouraged when people contradict their actions towards me. weird to say but all the inadequate ways of selfish people helps keep me further away from turning into one of them. so to all the wack people in the world, keep being selfish and complete idiots. you are providing me with a free lesson in life and def show me what not to be…thanks i appreciate all your efforts :)

N.E.T. - Stoop Track & The Power Of Mad 20/20

So I did this record with artist, N.E.T. from Dallas, TX. The track is composed of
an array of horns, strings and crazy madness. But the killer and confusing part was that at
the end of the record, N.E.T. kicked a shout out to “Mad Dog 20/20” before even
saying anything about the producer, which happens to be ME…LOL. Everyone who has
drank MD 20/20 knows that the drink is one of the most disgusting things on the planet
but as minors we all have had it and get access to it well before turning 21. Here’s a snippet
of the record and as it fades out…you will hear N.E.T. kick a shout out to MD 20/20 and
then shortly after, Socrates haha.

Where The Wild Things Are

I’ve never been so EXCITED to see a movie since I was sneaking
around to see Purple Rain…I read the book when I was a wee tike
and it is more than a child’s story book. It has so much depth,
richness, and outside positive ambition. I’m a HUGE fan of Spike
Jonze so this should be good to see how a 15 pg book is created into
a 2 hour film.

Kid Cudi In Studio With Ryan Leslie & Emile
So I posted a previous blog with Emile [kid cudi’s co-manager and producer]
from work they did on kudi’s debut album. I scoped this next vid a while
back but it includes an influential producer/song writer/performer of mine
Ryan Leslie…it’s an oldie but the vibe is hot. It’s sessions like this, which
make me as a producer get geared up to create fresh and innovative records.
Looks like Emile was still recovering from the weekend so I’m sure he was
glad to have R. Les come in and get the music vibe going…big shouts out to
Emile btw…AMAZING job on kudi’s album.

Laser Surgery

Hey Guys, so today I’m getting laser surgery on my shoulder for a labrum tear.
I experienced a Bankart Lesions which caused bone fragments to dangle around
in my shoulder somewhere. So this laser surgery will remove the fragments and
also shrink some of the swelled tissue. Recovery is almost automatic as this is an
outpatient operation. Only downfall is I have to go through this debacle by myself
so from the operating room, to post recovery I’ll be solo. This is definitely the part
where a partner or girlfriend comes in handy lol. But all in all I’m glad to relieve
some of this pain. I refuse to wear a sling lol, just not for me so hopefully I will
be up and about the next day as they state.

Thanks again to all those who wished me well and thanks to those who are going
to come see how I’m doing :). I appreciate it.

Beating The Critics

Hey good people…just wanted to ping your brains about striving to
be ambitious and confident. In life people will always try to shoot
you down or tear you apart. This falls into your career, day to day events
but especially your LOVE life hehe. But the things is, we do this to each other
daily. If people actually believed in each other more, and didn’t give up on
each other more often the world as a whole would run more smoothly. Also
how the world perceives us will be completely adaptable.

Critics come in all shapes and sizes…they come in all forms, human, natural,
unorthodox, every way. But don’t falter from your goal and desires. Do not let
people give up on you. If you love something or someone don’t give up. Allow
yourself to accept the general scope of things but never shy away from being
true within your own vessel. BEAT THE CRITICS!!!

Socrates Howard 1st Public Interview

Life is funny and grand…here is a glimpse at my first media interview outside of
the local Dallas, TX scene as I came up in the ranks as a music producer. It’s funny
how I still view music the way I did 8 years ago. Outside of my VERY LONG hair
my approach and view on creating music still remains. I enjoy creating and producing
records which push the limit, which do not conform entirely. Today my music spans
to commercial outlets via network television, you may hear some of my music at your
local eatery, you may even be on an elevator in a building on 5th Ave in New York and
hear some of my work. In any event, I love music, and love the power that music has.
I’m still working on this life long project A.F.I.L.A.M which is quoted in the interview.

Check it out, get a few laughs…enjoy the hair lol.

Canal St NYC Shoot

Just wanted to post a shot from a recent shoot I did with Aaron Brown,
http://www.aaronavenue.com in NYC. No photo shop to this at all…only black and white.
While we were shooting, a group of women stopped in to view the shoot. One of which
pulled out her disposable camera and forced me to take pics for her
daughter, lol. Apparently she wanted her daughter to come out with her but
since she didn’t, she wanted to show her all that she saw that day hehe.
